The inspiration of my cards today is the Birthday Bash Specialty Designer Series Paper. The colors used in this DSP are Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, Tangelo Twist and Whisper White.

As I'm not only a Dutch girl but also a orange-lover (the color!), I was immediately drawn to the Tangelo Twist and Crushed Curry. Combined with Bermuda Bay and Mossy Meadow, they're the perfect colorcombination for the techniques I used. You can find the list of materials  I used at the bottom of my message.

The first technique is Bokeh. Caroline Hallett tought me through her YouTube-tutorial how to do it and I must say: I'm kinda pleased with the result. Especially it's the first time I did it. I've added a sentiment from Adventure Awaits and some Bermuda Bay sequins and voilá!

The second technique is Smack Down. I used a Petal Potpourri stamp and inked it up. Then I smacked it down! And again and again, until there was no more ink on the stamp. Ink it up and smack it down again. Continue doing this until you're satisfied with the result. Change colors if you want to. I used Mossy Meadow just for the top prints. Colored some rhinestones with Blendabilities and stamped the 'swoosh' from sheltering Tree. I inked it up with Crushed Curry and kissed it with a stamped off Tangelo Twist flower, so it became a mixed up color. Added a sentiment from Sheltering Tree and I tore it so it wasn't too clean. Also kinda pleased!

De tweede techniek is Smack Down.

I must say I'm going to use both techniques ánd this colorcombo again (and again, and again).

It's time to say goodbye for now. Please leave a comment and I'll hope to see you again.  If you click on the Next button, you'll go to the blog of Suzette. I'm sure she's got something lovely waiting for you.
